Back in Dallas
I had a great time in Miami. Visits from Danibel and Manny and Kristel and Alex, and my visit to Reima and Alfie, gave a very special meaning to the end of 2008.
To top it off, my Dad, Adolfo, spent two whole weeks with us visiting from Nicaragua. He taught me to make basic electrical installations [light switches for simple and 3-way lights].
This time around I wasn't able to see my good friends the Schiebels or the Velezes, so that was not good. Next time.
We spent the 24th at Manny and Danibel's and the 31st at Luis and Maria Helena's and then at Alcides and Nubia's.
My youngest brother in law, Ivo Richard, also visited and it was very educational for me as a son, brother, and human being to see and talk to him.

Christmas 2009
We are spending Christmas and New Year in Miami this December 2009. On the 24th of December we went to Manny and Danibel's home. It was a nice party, with a whole little pig baked by Manny's dad Manuel.
On the 25th we received family and friends at our home in Kendall. My Dad, Adolfo, will be with us until January 1, on that day he departs to New Orleans to visit his brother Alfredo. On the 8th he returns to Nicaragua.
